I'm not in the business of selling user data to the highest bidder. I just want to keep an eye on my site and make sure it is working like it should be.

I use a self-hosted instance of Matomo Analytics to collect some anonymous usage and analytics data:

  • No tracking cookies are used
  • The data is only used for analytics
  • You aren't being tracked across websites
  • You aren't being tracked across days on this site
  • You can opt out of this anonymous usage tracking here:

If you opt out using this form, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser to indicate that you are opted out of tracking. It serves no other purpose.

I also use cloudflare for caching and DDOS protection. They might set a few cookies in your browser. You can find their privacy policy here: Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Again, no collected data is used for marketing or resale, it is just to help me make this site work as good as possible.

Finally, if you choose to provide your email address using the subscribe form on the homepage, your email address will be retained and only used for providing notifications of new relevant content on this webpage. It will not be used to track you or sold to a third party. If you want to remove your email from the list, please contact me or reply to any email you receive from me.
